Intuitive eating seduces French users looking for healthier diets

An approach that was developed in the 90s, intuitive eating has been gaining popularity in France for several months. The idea is for people to listen to their bodies and eat only when they are really hungry and according to their desires.

Consumers appreciate the principle, which they find takes the guilt out of eating and also stands in opposition of traditional slimming diets, both of which cause frustration. Instead, they are looking for a “balanced diet” that allows them to be conscious about eating and manage their “emotional cravings.” They see it as a way “to become kind to their bodies” and to follow the logic of the “body positive” movement.

For a large number of consumers, intuitive eating is a means to improving their relationship with food, particularly in the case of eating disorders through a healthier attitude.

Often intuitive eating is a way for consumers to take better care of themselves and comes in addition to a global approach that includes more sports and attention to sleep.

They said...

(Instagram)
